RETIME is making an appearance in Rome this week at the 2026 edition of the European Innovation for Sustainability Summit (EIIS)! During this international event, global leaders, institutions, researchers, and innovators will come together to explore how next-generation leadership can drive sustainable innovation and accelerate the development of solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This two-day summit hosts a wide range of high-level panels addressing key themes such as climate action, sustainable finance, AI governance, and the twin transition.
RETIME will jump on the 9th in the panel titled “Cities, Regions and Universities as Living Laboratories for Climate Action“; the panel will explore how different territorial scales—from urban systems to academic environments—can act as testing grounds for innovative, scalable sustainability solutions. Indeed, the discussion will highlight the importance of multi-level governance, cross-sector collaboration, and experimentation in real-world contexts to accelerate climate transition pathways.
Amerigo Lombardi, Project Management Officer at ICONS, will represent RETIME and offer a perspective on how EU-funded research can operationalise the “living lab” approach, translating innovation into real-world experimentation and supporting the design of place-based, scalable solutions for climate action.
