Welcome to the RETIME newsletter!
The Horizon Europe funded project RETIME – Urban Adaptation and Alert Solutions for a TIMEly (re)Action has now completed its second year, with several key activities currently ongoing.
During its second year, the project focused on defining the requirements for RETIME’s solutions. In collaboration with governmental representatives in the pilot sites, particular attention was given to identifying building pilot locations and target user groups for each urban adaptation and alert solution, including vulnerable populations such as children and people with disabilities.
In parallel, work advanced on the mapping of hazard, exposure, and vulnerability databases, as well as the development of site-specific emergency protocols aimed at improving safety and strengthening urban resilience at pilot level, with a broader perspective towards scalability and applicability at EU level.
The project has also initiated its digital transformation pathway, supporting more responsive and informed building management practices, with the goal of enhancing awareness and preparedness among local communities and broader stakeholders across the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector.
