Welcome to the RETIME newsletter!

The EU-funded project RETIME - Urban Adaptation and Alert Solutions for a TIMEly (re)Action – focuses on enhancing urban resilience and preparedness in the face of climate-related risks and natural hazards, such as storms, flash floods, heat and cold waves. By developing and testing innovative adaptation solutions and services, we aim to support cities and vulnerable communities in the context of a changing climate.

Video Interview Series

These short videos offer a direct look into how local authorities and researchers are applying RETIME tools to address climate-related risks—ranging from floods and heatwaves to cold spells and landslides. Each interview highlights the specific challenges, priorities and solutions being developed in collaboration with local communities.

Sustainable Places 2025

The scope of Sustainable Places is captured directly in its name. It involves designing, building and retrofitting the places we live and work in a more sustainable way. RETIME will be hosting a joint session together with several sister projects: ClimRes, Minority Report, Multicare and Multiclimact that are all working on solutions to increase resilience in the built environment.

Zástranie Neighborhood - Žilina (2/3)

The second of RETIME's three Pilots is located in Žilina, Slovakia, where the project is primarily focused on enhancing quality of life and promoting the social integration of local residents with mental and physical disabilities at the Social Services Centre Straník.

Resilience of the Built Environment Project Cluster

Since the beginning of 2025, RETIME and partners from related initiatives — including CARMINE, MULTICLIMACT, CLIMRES, MULTICARE, Minority Report, and MAIA — have been meeting regularly to strengthen collaboration across projects. These meetings foster discussions on joint participation in major upcoming events, shared dissemination strategies, and the development of a collective roadmap for future cooperation.

By aligning their efforts and exchanging insights, the projects aim to amplify their impact, driving innovation and resilience in the built environment.
